  • I think you took a rather boring looking area and made it interesting... Nice work.
    Shrig @ 2009-01-08 20:01:02
  • I love the mood in this one -- so dark and bleak and brooding.
    Caryn Caldwell @ 2009-01-08 20:26:06
  • I agree that you took a potentially boring scene and made it interesting--the crop/frame works well. And you get a sense of escape from that long road out.
    Lunamania @ 2009-01-08 21:06:44
  • Great feeling in this shot. The emptiness is just right. you get the feeling "you don't know what is going to happen" - something scary or just nothing at all...
    great work!

  • Exceptional capture. Looks like it employs a lot of people. Funny how that seems to come to mind all the time lately.
    sherri @ 2009-01-08 22:13:08
  • If ever I need someone to come and make beautiful an area of bleak industrialisation, you are the man I'll be calling Dustin. You've done a cracking job here shooting into the sun and obtaining such marvellous tones and contrast. It's a fascinating photograph, and it feels strange because of a lack of yiny peoploids milling about in the area. It could almost be a scene after a terrorist attack with gas, all the people gone. I love this for the images it creates in my mind, as well as the image it is

  • Great mood in this, the B&W and the angle reminds me of screenshots from the game Im playing. Great work.
    Ivar @ 2009-01-09 00:01:50
  • yeah, love the vignette and the disappearing road. top shot
    RHYS @ 2009-01-09 00:42:22
  • I like that a lot - it has a kind of post apocalyptic film feel to it!
    Chris Legg @ 2009-01-09 03:11:04
  • As much as I appreciate your skils, I don't like this one. Everyone says that it's a potentially boring photo...well, for me it is boring. Hope you don't mind me being so straightforward :)
    all the best :)
    Joanna @ 2009-01-09 04:10:59
  • wow that looks like an area from my hometown, totally... love the vignetting and the black and white!
    Elaine- @ 2009-01-09 04:53:26
  • Je trouve le cadrage très bien vu, la dynamique est bonne avec la ligne directrice de la route.
Par contre, je suis pas fan du vignettage, ca fait très (trop) artificiel
    ben @ 2009-01-09 06:03:26
  • I like the light, very nice urban shot
    BoB @ 2009-01-09 06:11:24
  • Nice composition and balanced shadows make this a very appealing image. I like the framing too.
    Andrew @ 2009-01-09 07:40:44
  • Oooh I like this a lot! It sweeps me visually right onto the road and over the crest. Love the strong diagonals pointing to the road that disappears over the horizon.
    daina @ 2009-01-09 11:09:50
  • I used to live in Fort Worth, cool shot.
    clarence @ 2009-01-09 12:26:39
  • Very nice landscape shot. Exquisite and fine lighting!
    Liang @ 2009-01-09 12:57:13
  • Well I am a boring person and I guess that is why I really like this shot.I love the light and composition. Fort Worth Rules!!
    Terry H. @ 2009-01-09 13:11:51
  • I read your words and I think you choosed the right option, difficult to be backlight, but the result is appealing, mysterious/dramatic and the light/perspective is inviting...
    $I like it

btw, You should allow more time to french people to write because each time I loose my comment :)
    Phototherapy @ 2009-01-09 14:57:44
  • I like the way the vignetting holds everything in this frame. The silhouettes of the buildings are wonderful and the road seems to go to nowhere...excellent shot.
    bluechameleon @ 2009-01-09 16:16:06
  • Lovely composition as always. Great tones.
    EgoPimp @ 2009-01-09 17:36:28
  • Great how you captured the peaceful quiet atmosphere here. You seem to have been the only person there.
    Arjan - PlasticDaisy @ 2009-01-10 05:06:41

    Sean @ 2009-01-10 22:22:47
  • Nice light and shadows…
    Calusarus @ 2009-01-11 02:10:22
  • nice work here.. the wide shot is great and the way that it tapers off into the distance is ace.. i also like the thirds framing.. great work..
    Westy | P H O T O N O M Y @ 2009-01-11 16:27:25
  • Love the desolation. And the sense of timelessness from the black and white & vignetting contrasting with the modern street lamps.
    SD (Aspherical) @ 2009-01-11 21:44:48
  • Wide and purposeful. This would be a strong candidate for a series in my opinion. I dig the low contrast and even tones despite my penchant to shoot for the stark.
    Chris Cardelli @ 2009-01-13 13:55:20
  • it s apleasure to brwose through your collection too :)
    elaine @ 2009-02-11 08:13:35
