Holy contrast, Batman! It works though, in conjunction with the concertina wire this has a real feeling of unease. SD (Aspherical) @ 2009-02-24 20:28:01
They put up the barb wire to keep photographers out. Cool shot! Terry H. @ 2009-02-24 20:49:48
Your past two posts have been great. There has been tension in both, as if it isn't Dallas but rather a long ago deserted city or compound. Well done. Looking forward to more... Brandon @ 2009-02-24 20:56:19
I bring a heavy quilt when I go out and use it over barbed wire like this. clarence @ 2009-02-24 20:59:06
These strong colours are just so striking! The darkness in the foreground just adds to the intensity. bluechameleon @ 2009-02-24 22:44:24
This is great work man, the barb wire, the light gret contrast, and together they create a uneasy feeling... Cool Ivar @ 2009-02-24 22:59:41
It works because of the different layers it seems to have - the dark and the barbed wire are restrictive or defensive but the bright sun and the sky are optimistic. It feels more like escape than being trapped. cat @ 2009-02-24 23:34:52
the dark brooding shadows and the barbed wire make a menacing and eerie image. A good one though. ps. I remember Agfa Ultra 50! RHYS @ 2009-02-25 00:43:41
sheesh those black shadows may eat the world, better keep your eye on them :) thanks for the eye strain lol Elaine- @ 2009-02-25 04:25:42
Love the color and light..and almost abstract shapes and lines that the wire creates. Marcie @ 2009-02-25 06:57:29
Such a cool shot, Dustin. Awesome contrasts from light and shadow, and so full of interest. Great work EYES WIDE SHUT @ 2009-02-25 07:00:18
this place looks inviting Roger @ 2009-02-25 08:37:44
Exceptional light, colors, and clarity. Your vantage point...capturing the barbed wire in the forefront was a terrific idea. sherri @ 2009-02-25 08:56:31
Oh yeah. That black mass is the deal... fantastic element of heaviness that really shows the deceptively delicate side of barbed wire. Damn nice. Chris Cardelli @ 2009-02-25 10:34:19
Shadows and light. And a beautiful blue sky. Cheers Calusarus @ 2009-02-25 13:13:27
Wonderful in form and sense :) Like all the black for this nasty symbol. Hopefully, the sky and house colors are vibrating.

Very strong image, excellent contrast. I like it a lot. Luisa @ 2009-02-25 16:50:08
Well, you're right. This isn't one of my favorites. However, it's still interesting (is that the equivalent of someone telling you "You outta meet this girl, she's got a nice personality?). Anyway, the coiled barbed wire is a nice touch. Turnbill @ 2009-02-25 17:23:57
Terrific shadows - especially the roof line. The slinky like barbed wire does not seem sinister yet it does leave a bit of an uneasy feeling. daina @ 2009-02-25 17:43:30
the contrast here looks cool, the sunlight and blue sky and the barb wire...I'd maybe crop out the dark part in the bottom a little bit? Joanna @ 2009-02-26 09:10:39
Great blue sky. The barb wire looks strange in that context. Makes me believe that is just like you took the picture nearby a prison Bogdan @ 2009-02-27 13:19:17
Superb composition. The framing black shadow, the barbwire - all works great together. Cerstin @ 2009-02-27 16:25:54
Hadr to reach the sky... is this a prison ?? Great picture Denis @ 2009-02-28 12:40:31
Very graphic, reminds me contrast of a comic book. That barbwire comes in a contrast with those skies, that looks so free.
Thus making it a double contrast photo :)
Great! Ilan @ 2009-03-01 12:43:05
I didn't realize Dallas was in the Middle East! Erinn @ 2009-03-02 12:58:19
